The iconic shopping mall City2 is heavily associated with Vestegnen, a suburban area southwest of Copenhagen. Marketsquare helped City2 take ownership of the history of Vestegnen by celebrating the area's diversity.
About Vestegnen
Historically, there have been quite a lot of prejudice about Vestegnen, but the area is also known as home to several well-known rappers, cultural figures, a former prime minister and not least the football club Brøndby IF.
Many postal codes – one mentality
Vestegnen is a geographically big area, and this is reflected in the diversity of the area. But the people of Vestegnen share the same mentality and embrace the strong solidarity all the way from postal code 2600 to 2690.
